Burkett L-1 Maple/Adi

Demo completed in 2014.  Maple body with Adirondack top.  12-frets to the body, non-elevated fret board extension, and no pick guard.  Modified Vee neck with BRW fret board, 1 3/4″ nut, and non adjustable ebony neck reinforcement.  The Stew Mac Golden Age strip tuners, with cream buttons, are attractive and are as smooth as silk.  Very lightly braced with slightly modified 30’s bracing specifications.  I had a 1930 12-fret L-1 disassembled in my shop and I used it as a pattern for building this one.  I have used it as my personal guitar, as well as a demo, for the past couple of years.  It is loud and responsive.  It shows a little wear, a few small dings, and some finish crazing in the Royal Lac finish.  Rubbed stain sunburst on the top, back, sides, and neck.
